As a vocalist and musician for many
years, I toured with various groups. With
the band "Time Machine" I had the
privilege of being the back up group for
the internationally known
Herb Reed and the Platters.

When designing this room, the Platters
first recording "
Only You", October 1,
1955, inspired me to build this 10 room
addition around a Chevy Belair Coupe, an
original texaco gas pump, and a traffic
light suspended from the ceiling. All from
the year 1955.

An oversized 4 foot 45 rpm record of
"Only You (and you alone)" edged in neon
hangs proudly above the car that
represents my golden years.

Thank you Herb Reed and the Platters for the
fabulous 50's.

we have a full tank of gas,
half a packet of cigarettes,
it's dark and we're wearing
